Muddy Flaps DIY style.

I like a good set of flaps as much as the next man 😜

My Rusty came home with out any and I wanted some, not just some cheap lame something or other from "(name your chosen internet vendor here)" that are hugely marked up junk from China, I wanted manly flaps and the only way you can have them is to make them 😁

What do we need?  Old cardboard box and an old piece of conveyor belt.

Make a template and cut the conveyor belt to suit.

Then fit the new mud shields and mud flap panels, these are bolted to the rear of the rear wheel tubs and fix to both the outer rear quarter panel and the boot floor side panel via a small bracket.

Using an 8mm hole punch, punch out the bolt holes using the clamping bracket as a template and affix the new mud flaps.

A good wide rubber mudflap that is a good bit wider than the tyre to stop debris being launched up and out the back when in the muddy stuff.

The only thing I have not shown is the anti reverse chains that are used to stop them getting ripped off when reversing in mud and ruts.

Thanks for looking.
